About Melanie Alavi
Melanie Alavi has worked for UPS for 12 years in various roles, including International Marketing, Strategic Account Marketing, Segment Marketing, and most recently as the Small Business Marketing Manager for the South Atlantic District (servicing North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). Prior to working at UPS she worked and lived in Madrid, Spain for 4 years – working for the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service and later at a privately held Telecommunication Company. Part of her current role is communicating UPS’s value proposition to small customers – one part of which is finding new customers and expanding internationally. Today she’s going to share with with you thoughts on how technology and logistics can help small businesses go global.
